Educator consultation services are designed to enhance the educational experience for students with special needs by providing targeted support for educators and administrators. We work with each educator to develop an individualized plan, setting educators up to master content and confidently plan for and engage learners.

Key areas we provide support in include:

  1. IEP Writing/Compliance Coaching: Our IEP writing coaching and support ensures that individualized education programs are meticulously crafted to meet the unique requirements of each student, promoting their academic success and personal growth.

  2. Understanding/Implementing IEPs: Sessions focus on giving educators the skills to dissect IEPs, and envisioning what this looks like in real time when implemented with fidelity.

  3. Planning for and Supporting Diverse Learners: We offer teacher coaching that empowers educators with effective strategies and techniques to implement inclusive practices in the classroom.

Family Consultation Services

Family consultation services are ideal for helping families understand how to advocate for their child(ren) and navigate the intricacies of school policy. GraSPED offers individualized sessions to help you navigate the challenges or concerns you face in navigating your child’s education today. To schedule a family consultation, please provide your preferred dates and times, along with any specific topics or concerns you wish to discuss. Topics may include:

  1. Advocating for your child and communicating with teachers, administrators, and other school staff

  2. Understanding the educational process and timelines - in other words, what should be happening when

  3. School Choice (Local, Charter, Magnet, Private, etc). and Kindergarten enrollment - what makes the most sense to ensure success for your child? Where will your student be able to utilize their strengths to leverage their needs?

  4. Academic Skill Gaps or Academic Giftedness

  5. Behavior/Functional Needs

  6. Additional supports/services (speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, etc)

  7. Early Intervention to School Age Process

  8. Any other concerns/questions you may have!

We will tailor the consultation to address your needs and ensure you are informed about your rights as a parent or guardian. Once we receive your availability, we will confirm the appointment accordingly.
